Yeah... with all the melting and freeing it was pretty treacherous out there. They're OLD studded tires - Bike Doctor home-made specials that have seen too many years of riding too long into the spring on dry pavement. When I put them on a couple weeks ago I pointed out the "studs" were nearly worn down to nuthin....
Also Amanda's had a couple nasty falls so she's pretty anxious about riding on ice and... well... rides a bit too tight..?
Yeah, I read about that - didn't sound fun AT ALL! Hope you're doing better! This wasn't nearly so spectacular!
Though Amanda has had her share of stitches (on her face) from bike crashes - too much front break on a downhill, over the handlebars, landed chin first!? On her mountain bike, before she even got to the trail!?

ReplyDeleteI ate it two weeks ago. Tracks not ice, though. And an ER visit for stitches. The stitches gave me an excuse to grow a mustache, though.
